I visited Nayong Pilipino Park, also called as the Philippine Village Park, years back with friends when I was fairly new here in Manila. It was was located at Pasay City. The place has been closed for a long time already and it was just recently that they opened up a park in Luneta.
We went out for our Tuesday playdate at Nayong Pilipino with Gab’s friends. This was supposed to be a National Children’s Book Day get-together but since it’s just us, it turned out to be free play Tuesday as we normally do.

What’s inside Nayong Pilipino?
Going to Nayong Pilipino should take to a quick glimpse of the most famous landmarks of the Philippines.
Nayong Pilipino Rizal Park has a small land area.
There are some kalesas, the famous sarao jeep and an ifugao hut. There’s a playground (seesaw) and a hanging bridge. You can also feed the fish with fish pellets sold by the park entrance.
This is a good alternative park as the area is enclosed, unlike the big open space of Luneta. In a park however, I would always prefer more grasses, over cement, for kids to freely run and for parents to set up a mat while watching over the kids. The area is surrounded by trees but most of the areas are not shaded. It is recommended to put on a cap and sunblock. And yes, also mosquito repellents.
Homeschoolers Gab, Rio and Gab!
Nayong Pilipino Clark has a way bigger area. Checking the brochure, it has the replicas of the rice terraces and houses of Rizal, Aguinaldo and Mabini. It also has the Ifugao, Aeta and Kalinga Villages, a tilapia pond, a children’s playground and a space for palaruang pilipino.
The park houses two museums, an orchidarium, a festival amphitheater, a greenhouse, a restaurant, a souvenir shop and some cottages for rent.
