Times Higher Education has released the World University Rankings for 2023. Topping the list for Philippines is Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU). ADMU landed in the 351-400 rank bracket. This is the first time ADMU was included in the rankings. The previous list only included two schools — University of the Philippines (UP) and De La Salle University (DLSU). Mapua University is the last university to be included in the list for this year.

The rankings are based on 13 indicators that measure an institution’s performance across four areas: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook. This year, they also based the list on research publications and a worldwide survey on the reputation of each school.
