Going to the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale for the first time? Here are some tips you should take note before your trip to make the most out of the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale.
- Set a budget and stick with it. Whether you use cash, debit or credit card, make sure to spend the amount you allotted for this sale.
- List down what titles you want to look for before going to the fair. If you can break them down according to categories like Fiction (Graphic Novel, Comics, Literature, Romance, Science Fiction & Fantasy, Young Adult), Non-Fiction (Science, History, Health/Wellness, Self-Help, Sports, Transportation, Travel, etc), and Children’s Books (activity books, board books, picture books, references).
- Bring a wheeled luggage if you are buying more books based on you budget and list.
- Sign up and join the wolf pack. Signing up is FREE plus you get special discounts at the sale. Make sure to remember you ID number.
- Have a good meal or snacks before you go. While they are limited food choices outside the hall, it is always better to shop with a full stomach so you will have all the energy to cover more ground for more books. Food and drinks are not allowed inside the fair halls.
- Go very early in the morning or late at night. Go on a weekday instead of a weekend. These are the times that the place does not go crowded. After office hours, expect a surge of book shoppers to be at the fair.
- If you are buying reference materials like almanacs, atlases, maps, bibliographies, make sure to check publish dates.
- Shop responsibly. Return the books where you found them. It will be easier for the staff to organize or restock and other interested buyers to see them.
- There is a customer storage available. They can hold your items for 24 hours so you can come back and check more books.
- Priority lanes are available to accommodate senior citizens, pregnant women and PWD.
