Bohol is one of the beautiful islands in the Visayas. It offers several attractions that are kid-friendly that you can consider when traveling with the family.
Here are the Things to do in Bohol for Kids
Chocolate Hills
The Chocolate Hills are probably Bohol’s most famous tourist attraction. There are about 1200+ hills around Bohol. Check the hills from the viewing deck in Chocolate Hills Complex in Carmen (which you have to climb in 200+ steps) or in Sagbayan Chocolate Hills Complex. This will give you a 360° view of the hills.
If you are more adventurous, you can rent a buggy or an ATV (in Carmen) so you can drive at the foot of the chocolate hills and trek to one of the smaller hills for a better view.
This can either be a separate trip or as part of a day tour.

Blood Compact Site
Time to learn some history! Blood compact or Sandugo was an ancient ritual in the Philippines intended to seal treaty. It was performed in the island between the Spanish explorer Miguel Lopez de Legazpi and Datu Sikatuna the chieftain of Bohol on March 16, 1565, to seal their friendship as part of the tribal tradition.
The well-known site is in Barangay Bool, Tagbilaran City. This shrine was made by National Artist for Sculpture, Napoleon Abueva. The National Historical Institute Marker of Sandugo however is located at the actual site in Hinawanan Bay, Loay. Evidences had been found to fit to the description written in the book (Colleccion De Documentos De Ultramar which recorded General Legazpi’s expedetion): the deep well between two rivers – named as Sikatuna’s Well built around 1200 A.D. – well the men of General Legazpi fetched water from and bought in their galleon. The well still exists and can be seen at Hinawanan Loay.
