Despite being an engineering graduate, I had questions on how to teach Math to my son, Gab.

I felt confident at first since I have been using Math in my career. But I started seeing the following challenges in teaching Math.

- The pace is faster compared to when I was in school.
To keep up with the pace and the changes, I studied and applied the new methods, gathered best practices from leading Math educators, and read books by best-selling authors.
As a result, Gab and I reached these milestones with Math:
- Learned to count before age 2.
- Mastered Addition and Subtraction facts at Age 5.
- Mastered Multiplication and Division at Age 7.
Today, Gab continues to be Fearless with Math. He enjoys our lessons and he is not intimidated with the Math problems I give him… even if it is more advanced for his grade level.

Jinoe is the co-founder of The Filipino Homeschooler, a website dedicated in helping fellow parents in homeschooling their kids. He has created and shared hundreds of worksheets for math and science through the website.
