Our friend Tippy, the other half of Googly Gooeys has been conducting watercolor and brush lettering workshops. When, we heard the news that she’s doing a craft and water color workshop for moms and kids, we got excited. I think I was more excited because finally, we will meet Riley.
And so, we signed up of the afternoon of fun. Instead of me and Gab, it was Daddy and Gab who painted and did the crafts together. After all, it’s the husband who works with Gab with watercolors. I was there, of course, chatting (and, well yes, eating!)
Here’s what we love about the workshop:
Participants get quality art supplies for the workshop. We got a Faber-Castell pencil, brush set with 4 Faber-Castell Watercolor Brushes, and a 12-color Faber-Castell Watercolor Set, an eraser, sheets of watercolor paper and a Googly Gooey Notebook. All packed inside the colorful Googly Gooey Tote Bag!
Basic tips and tricks that beginners, yes, even young kids can easily follow.
No need to fret, if you are like me who is not into painting, Tippy will explain, model the techniques with step-by-step instructions leading to a finished artwork
Kids are encourage to explore and have fun. While there are directions to follow and an expected output, I like it that Tippy values more of the “process” of creating art, more than the results.
Instead of painting animals, Gab painted a car! And did more drawings using his pencil.
Special gift for the moms & kids!
Thank you for such a fun afternoon (that extended for us until dinner time) and for capturing these lovely photos of Gab and the group. I’m looking forward to more workshops for kids!
