CFA Homeschool is a Catholic homeschool provider founded by Bo Sanchez. It offers DepEd accredited education for preschool to grade school students.
Eleanor Manalo, homeschooling mom for 6 years, says, “What I love homeschooling with CFA is the warmth of the environment. The school admins particularly the parent coaches are very warm and very supportive. One could feel being part of a family. “
She hopes that there would be occasional online class on difficult subjects such as AP (considering the current situation).
Mommy Mia joined CFA 3 years ago. She likes that it is a DepEd Accredited Catholic provider. She appreciates the structure and support provided to the CFA families. “We have a learning guide which serves as the curriculum guide for the year. We opted to get all the books from CFA because it just made things easier for us. Then we can search online if the children want to explore further. We also do projects to show practical application and understanding of the concepts covered,” she explains.
Mommy Mia adds, “We have a parent coach assigned to us. So there’s someone to talk to for any questions or concerns. CFA also has club offerings. We attend the one in the South. There are more offerings in the North but I prefer to stay in the South. It’s a way for the kids to explore interests and meet other CFA children. As my kids are young, they really look forward to play time with their friends when the sessions are done. ” While there’s an ‘academic load’, Mia finds it doable. She is confident that her children are learning what other children in other schools are learning. She also suggest to interested parents to attend the orientation, ask questions and if possible, talk to families who’re enrolled with the program. She recommends to go with the provider that feels right.
