Gopala Simple Moments In Learning Experience (SMILE) or simply known as Gopala Play Center is a homeschooling family owned business founded by Laksmi Maluya in 2007.
Laksmi herself is a product of homeschooling. She took up an Education profession to make the homeschooling experience of others SIMPLE. She is currently homeschooling 2 daughters – one in grade 5 and the other in grade 9. Her eldest is already in 2nd yr college and was homeschooled from preschool to highschool.
The center caters to all types of learners (homeschooling or not) and all types of homeschoolers – whether doing it independently or having a DepEd provider or assist groups of homeschoolers.

Gopala Play Center’s homeschooling practice has always been similar to K12 for they let go of the kids when they are “Ready for Life” : Not only academically ready but mentally, physically, and most importantly spiritually mature.
They value each child’s uniqueness in learning and therefore strengthening the character and values is the main goal. Gopala is non-sectarian, parents have the choice of religious or non-religious practice to teach their child. The founding family practices a Christian Yoga lifestyle.

Saturday or Sunday Activity Day
This is open for all who wants to join them. The fee ranges from Php250– Php1500/head depending on what the activity will be.
Simple MAPEH/HELE class to Overnight Outdoor Camping
The center offers MAPEH/HELE and other subjects that some families don’t get to do at home. This is also a good time to spend bonding moments with the whole family and a chance to meet new friends.
Seminar and Workshops
Since Gopala personalizes the service and each year’s setup may be different from the other, the center offers Parent/Child orientation.
